The purpose of the AFS student chapter at OSU is to promote interaction between the metal casting industry and students at Ohio State and to help students learn about the science of casting. This is accomplished through a number of means. Members attend regular meetings of the Central Ohio AFS chapter, design and participate in student run projects, attend industry conferences, visit metal casting facilities and receive scholarships from industrial sponsors.
